SENTENCES (IV)

Spots of memory cloud my eyes

which is another way of saying that I can’t look

at the crisp air of almost evening without

remembering us walking in similar air

& that when I let my hand swing at my side

it knocked into yours & you let out a scream

which was fake in its implicit request

for immediate assistance in avoiding bodily harm

but real in that we were two people spinning

into each other needing help.
